Hall to Bideford Return HRR

Race Report – 03 December Whangauhu Hall Bideford HRR

It was a classic Wairarapa evening for the 32 kilometre course out to Bideford school and back. A strong westerly with brilliant sunshine and lenticular clouds scattered across the sky

Attendance tonight had dropped to a mere 19 participants who were divided into four groups. The course out to Bideford and back is undulating and includes one significant climb. So, short but testing

The westerly wind provided significant head and cross winds all the way to the turnpoint. Curiously, the return leg also experienced significant head and cross winds with only the occasional burst of tailwind to speed things along
