Race Report – 28 January 025 Two Mile ITT & Paka’s MSRR
Tonight's race was the Two Mile ITT on Watsons road followed by a MSRR around the Pakarakas Loop circuit. We had a grand total of twenty three riders front up to the start line to take on the evenings racing on a fine sunny evening
The first part of the race was the Two Mile ITT on Watsons road. A straight forward out and return with a light westerly head wind on the return leg. Together with the false flat this made the run back to the finish line something of a grind
Riders were set off at 30 second intervals to do the best they could with Derek de Zwart proving to be the fastest on the night

The second part of the evening was a MSRR around the Pakaraka’s. This was neutralized until everyone was safely past the loose roading metal on Johnstone street. Once past this point the pace was on and the bunch was strung out before breaking up into several groups. Simon Butler took out the A grade bunch with Ricky Blade coming from behind to pip the post for the B grade

Next week, Tuesday 4 February, is a HRR on the Rangitumau/ Mauriceville circuit. Lets hope we have good weather and a good turnout
